OIKOpedia is the knowledge base of the OIKODOMOS project. It contains the topics and concepts studied in the OIKODOMOS Virtual Campus.

Each entry consists of:

- DESCRIPTION of the concept. Multiple descriptions can be added by different users.
- RELATED CASES OF STUDY. Works which illustrate the concept. The description of each work consists of four fields: title of the work, a description of the relationship between the work and the concept, an image of the work and its description of it. There can be multiple entries for the same case study, provided by multiple users.
- COMMENTS. Commentaries on the concept or the cases of study.
- REFERENCES. Bibliography, links and references to other works.

OIKOpedia supports multiple languages. The English version is considered the default. The list of concepts in the menu is only in English, but all contents (including the concept name) can be translated to different languages.
